AMBASSADOR IRIT BEN-ABBA
Honorary President
H.E. Ambassador Ben Abba is currently serving as the Ambassador of the State of Israel to People's Republic of China. Previously, Ben Abba was the Israeli ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, and the Israeli ambassador to the Hellenic Republic. She was the Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Division of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
Ambassador Ben Abba is also an old friend of China. She studied Chinese and East Asian Studies. She was the consul of the Israeli Consulate General in Hong Kong. From 1994 to 1996, she was the minister (Deputy Chief of Mission) of the Israeli embassy in Beijing.
As the highest level diplomat from Israel to China, she understood her vital role to enhence the friendship and cooperation between these two ancient peoples.
MR. SHUANG QIU
Executive President
Mr. Shuang Qiu is an experienced entrepreneur and researcher working in multiple nations. Mr. Qiu was Senior Researcher for International R&D Cooperation at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2017 and has been Senior Researcher for Innovation at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics since 2021. He has been serving as the Standing Councilor for Technology in the Sichuan Society of Education since 2016.
Mr. Qiu's connection with Israel is solid. He was elected Student Senator during his study at Tel-Aviv University, representing the school of management. He is also the Local Partner and Education Advisor for the Israeli Chamber of Commerce in China. Mr. Qiu was appointed to Director of China-Israel Digital Finance Innovation Center on 2021.
DR. YULIA MITIAGIN
Director General of IUAC
Dr. Yulia Mitiagin is a scientist in the fields of neurobiology, and neuro-biochemistry. Her ability to conduct cross-borders, inter-disciplinarily research, adds to her innovative take on business and science. Dr. Mitiagin was as a consultant of verity of Chinese biotech and innovation companies.
MS. DANRUI CHENG
Member of IUAC and a former President of Tel Aviv University Chinese Students and Scholars Association
Danrui moved to Haifa with her parents when she was little and was raised with Chinese and Israeli traditions. While studied in TAU with both of her degrees, she has served as President of Tel Aviv University Chinese Students and Scholars Association for five years. She has been working in the construction and automotive industries in Shanghai and Tel-Aviv.
MS. Yafei (Sophia) Zhang
Representative of IUAC in Beijing
Ms. Zhang is an experienced civil engineer, and was the director of International Co-operation in Beijing Magicode Technology Co., Ltd, primarily working with Israeli firms. She was also the Vice-President of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) for the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Texas. Moreover, Ms. Zhang has years of experience in education as a teacher and a professional Mandarin writer.
MS. WEI (RIVKA) QIAN, MBA
Liaison to Israel of IUAC
Rivka has been working for many years in promoting business collaboration between China and Israel and assisted one the the largest acquisitions from China to Israel. She used to be an exchange student in Tel Aviv University and completed her MBA also in Israel. She is now living and working in between Tel Aviv and Shanghai.
DR. JING SONG
Liaison to the U.S.A. of the IUAC
Dr. Jing is a Chinese-born Immunologist who received her Ph.D. and invested nearly ten years working in the Israeli medical and pharmaceutical community. She is currently residing in Washington, WA. With her unique experience and insights into China, Israel, and America, she will provide a uniquely human touch for our American Alumni in China.
MS. JIANYU (GALI) SHEN
Culture ambassador of IUAC
Gali has been working for the China-Israel investment community since 2013. She is an expert in Hebrew Language and Jewish Thoughts, and she was the first generation of Chinese international students in Israel. Gali was also the Chairwoman of Chineses Students and Scholars Association for Hebrew University (East Campus) until 2021.
